Support the LAPD Reserve Officer Foundation! The proceeds from the auction go to benefit the LAPD Reserve Foundation.
Revealed -- This stunning work by artist Timothy Lampros is one of a kind, and it will be the featured item in the live auction this Saturday (April 20) at the Twice a Citizen banquet, honoring Los Angeles Police Reserve Officers and Community Leaders, at the Hilton Universal City.
The historic “diamond” badge (first issued in 1943) is featured in stainless steel -- centered on a bronze plate and built on a welded steel frame. A dazzling blue light highlights the detail of the work, encased in polycarbonate glass. It weighs a substantial 30 lbs. and is 45x28 inches. Mr. Lampros was inspired to create the work as a tribute to the untold 1000s of men and women (reserve police officers, wartime emergency officers, civilian auxiliary and specialists) who have built the LAPD Reserve Corps into what it is today.
We will be accepting absentee bids on this very unique item. Minimum bid is $2000 and there will be a reserve. Interested parties should contact Scherr at 818-994-4661 no later than Friday, 4-19 6PM PST.
