Its back! The McDonald's Shamrock Shake! I shot this for them in Chicago with their ad agency - ARC Worldwide/Leo Burnett. We spent 10 hrs shooting four variations on this. The food stylists spent a lot of time making the beautiful green/white swirls. My prop stylist spent two days looking for as many green fabric backgrounds as we could find for this perfect shade of green.

I was testing a new camera yesterday - I bought a used digital back for my 4x5 camera so I wanted to make sure it was ok as the cardboard box it was shipped in had clearly been sitting in water! Fed ex dude handed me the box with the wet side away from me so as soon as I went to open it and felt the box I panicked. All's well! Love these little squashes.
And.... we're back!!! Just got back from New Zealand! It was gorgeous there. I was gone for a month. We stayed in a little hotel that had a cafe attached to it that was owner operated. Rachael bakes lovely goodies all day long. This is one of them - lemon cake with lemon cream icing served with home made yogurt. It was delicious. Rachael is not a food stylist, just an excellent baker.
Loving the beautiful colors these carrots are these days!
Happy Holidays everyone! This is from my kaleidoscope of food series. This snowflake is make from a scallion onion and the background is made from detail images of a Peruvian purple potato.
