Old Loans Inn pipped for Hot Plate award
It's tough at the top but in the end the Old Loans Inn was beaten to the prestigious Hot Plate award by worth winner, the Kylestrome Bar and Grill in Ayr. For months, the Old Loans Inn led the way after Tam Cowan's 25/25 Food Review. However, the Daily Record's Restaurant Critic of the Year awarded an "extra point for value" to the Kylestrome and that made the difference, 26/25. Well done to all the team at the Kylestrome, while here at the Old Loans Inn we look forward to welcoming you to our Troon venue soon - especially on wonderful sunny Sundays like today!

The Old Loans Inn was named Small Hotel of the Year 2011 at the recent Golf Tourism Scotland Awards held at the Fairmont Hotel in St Andrews.
