TIP: After an auto accident should I make the property damage claim through my insurance co or the “at fault’s” insurance company? My advice it to ALWAYS go through your OWN insurance company. You have many more rights and much more say so about where and how your vehicle will be repaired through your own insurance company. You might have to pay a deductible but your attorney should be able to get that back for you.
TIP: After an auto accident should I call the Police? YES YES YES Always call the police to the scene. Valuable information MUST be recorded at the scene. Also this way it is less likely that the defendant driver will change their story about how the accident occurred.
