Did you know that 50% of deaths caused by exposure to cold (hypothermia) are people 60 years of age and older, and about 20% occur while indoors? Keep indoor temperatures above 69 degrees, and when going outside, dress appropriately for the cold with plenty of layers. Plus: Always wear a hat!

Confused about sub-acute rehabilitation? Sub-acute care is comprehensive inpatient care designed for someone who has an acute illness, injury, or exacerbation of a disease process. It is goal oriented treatment rendered immediately after a hospitalization. Sub-acute care is typically prescribed for patients that are post joint replacement, reconditioned after a lengthy hospital stay, or in need of wound care or IV therapy.
