Meet your personal mortgage assistant - Linda Laramy:
- How long have you been in the mortgage industry? 14 Years in the industry
- What the best advice you could give to someone thinking about buying a new home? Do your homework upfront & get pre-approved early. Lending requirements continue to change & you want to be sure that you are pre-approved before you are find the perfect home & ready to make your offer. Also, be careful when considering a short sale property - the process can take many months.
- Why do you like working in the mortgage industry? I'm in the mortgage industry because I really enjoying working with borrowers to educate them & help them find the right fit for their needs regarding programs/rates. The industry is exciting as it's always changing.
- If you were a loan, which one would you be and why? (If I were a mortgage product I'd be a Fixed rate - I don't like surprises

-How long have you been in the mortgage industry? 8 years
2-What the best advice you could give to someone thinking about buying a new home? Be sure to take into account all the costs of home ownership that your mortgage will not include. Other costs include utilities (electric, natural gas, water/sewer, phone, cable, internet), taxes and insurance if your mortgage payment does not include them, home maintenance and repairs including a savings account in case of a major failure like a water heater or furnace, money for furniture and appliance purchases, property and landscaping maintenance. Whether or not you accurately estimate and take into account these costs can be the difference between keeping your home and foreclosure.
-Why do you like working in the mortgage industry?
I like working in the mortgage industry because I get to help people navigate what is likely to be the most important and most complicated financial decision of their lives. My advice and my help directly impacts their futures.
-f you were a loan, which one would you be and why? )
I would be a 30-year fixed. Safe and secure; you know exactly what you are getting as long as you hold that loan.
